Lenny Sherbrooke

I am really sad to have to report that Lenny Sherbrooke passed away this morning after a long fight against serious illness. Lenny was a long standing and successful member of the Vics, playing for and Captaining various sides during his time as a valued member of the club. Lenny was, rightly, very proud of his three sons, Karl, Ian and Neil, who all progressed into top flight bowlers in their own right and Lenny could often be heard on the side of the green, encouraging and cajoling the lads to greater heights. Lenny will be sorely missed at the Vics and all our sympathies go to his wife Beryl and to Karl, Ian and Neil at this sad time. I will inform members of funeral details when I receive them.
