Green opens on Monday, let’s hope for Summer weather at last.
30/03/2006 by admin.
The green opens on Monday afternoon ( 3rd April ) and hopefully Summer is just round the corner. You will notice a much improved Club House thanks to various volunteers helping out during the Winter months. Brian Buck, Andy Fergus , Bill Tottey and Arthur Fagan have repainted the Kitchen and Club room and the notice board has been revovated. New seats have been placed outside the Club House and hopefully Monday will see the green in good condition.

Superb start to the season sees Eddie progress to Scarisbrick Finals Night.
21/03/2006 by admin.
Eddie Clayburn, inspired by his call up to the Wallasey Association British Parks Senior County Squad, came through a tough qualifying night at Scarisbrick last Saturday to win three matches and qualify for the Final 16 of this tough competition. Eddie, deciding to branch out into the singles competition world in a big way this season, defeated Huddersfield’s C.Lloyd 21-15, St.Oswald’s S. Brown 21-20 and Whiston’s A.Heyes 21-13 (after holding a 13-0 lead at one stage) to put himself in line for an early pay off from his dedicated practice during the Winter months. Eddie, delighted with his County call up, has done both himself and the Vics proud with his progress so far and he has the best wishes of everyone at the Vics for Finals night. Matt Gilmore made it two Vics players through to the Finals with his fine performances on the night.

Green opens Monday 3rd April
04/03/2006 by admin.
The green at Ashton Park will be open again on Moday 3rd April. There is also a Management Committee meeting at 7-30pm on Monday 3rd April in the Club House. Brian Buck, Andy Fergus, Arthur Fagan and Bill Tottey have been hard at work during the Winter Months cleaning and painting the Club House and obviously we all appreciate the efforts they have put in on a voluntary basis.
