Normal service resumed, as Vics win by 50 shots at Harrison Park.

The Vics Wallasey League side resumed their normal service, with a comprehensive away defeat of Harrison Park tonight. After Tuesday’s rare defeat to Queens Royal in the Harold Jones Cup, the Vics turned on the style at a difficult venue with ten winners on the night. Anthony Thompson once again proved almost unbeatable at this level with another stunning winning performance, 21-08. This was closely followed with tremendous 21-09 victories by Ian and Neil Sherbrooke. Trevor Rodgers bounced back in style, after last week’s reverse at Manor Road, with a good 21-12 win. Matty Gilmore powered to a 21-13 win, to banish Tuesday’s display from the memory and Billy Atkinson won again, this time 21-15. Robby Franklin got over yesterday’s Vet’s performance by sealing a 21-16 victory and Eddie Clayburn came through a tough encounter 21-17. Dave Gilmore was involved in a close game before coming out on top 21-18 and Skipper Mally Johnson was a happy man when he triumphed 21-20 at the end. This was a much better and much needed display from the Vics to send a message to Queens Royal that next week’s encounter will be a completely different match than last Tuesday.
