Nine single figure winners in clean sweep against Queens Park.

The Vics Wallasey League side completely demolished Queens Park tonight in a massive 152 shot victory at West Kirby. With 12 winners again and 9 to single figures the Vics demonstrated that there will be no let up in their determination to retain the league title. The front four with “The Quiet Man”, Ian Sherbrooke leading the way with a 21-07 win, built up a lead of 45 shots with father and son Dave and Matty Gilmore, trying to outdo each other again but failing as they both won 21-09. No bragging rights tonight in that family then!!, Bernie Owen completing the four with a 21-14 win. The middle four increased the lead to 103 shots with Robby Franklin(even better now he has retired) 21-02 and Robby Hall (without expletives) 21-03, completely dominating their opponents. There was even a single figure victory, 21-09, for Peter Dodd with Tony Vyskocil completing the four with a 21-12. The final total was 152 shots when Anthony Thomson, buzzed his opponent 21-05 , “Fast Eddie” Clayburn returned a quickfire 21-08 and racing expert Neil Sherbrooke a 21-09 win. Skipper Mally Johnson completed the scoring with a 21-13 victory and another 3 points were added to the Vics tally.
