Johno “skips” in with a six, Vyke wins but still “disgruntled”, Vics have ten winners.
The Wallasey side beat 27 Club by 85 shots on a fast Vics green tonight with Captain Mally Johnson 21-06 leading the way. Bernie Owen and Robby Hall both won 21-07 and Anthony Thompson and Matty Gilmore both had 21-08 victories. Comfortable victories went to Neil Sherbrooke and Eddie Clayburn and there were also closer victories for Robby Franklin and Peter Dodd. The Vyke (Tony Vyskocil) won 21-13 and was as disgruntled as ever by his performance, but that’s why we love him so much, it wouldn’t be the same if he came off satisfied would it?? Anthony Thompson is “buzzing” away at the top of the averages tonight having won all his games so far. With Robby Hall, Robby Franklin and Dave Gilmore also undefeated things are tight at the top of the average table.
