“C” team lose but gain aggregate point.
The “C” team lost at Birkenhead Park yesterday afternoon but did enough to gain the aggregate point. Lennie Sherbrooke had to field players doubling up with the “B” team and even had to play himself for the first time in three years. He lost 19-21 but gave a good performance on a fast green. Stan Evans 21-18, John Davies 21-19(1st outing this year), Bill Tottey 21-19 and Andy Fergus 21-20 all won on the day and with several other close games the Vics finall went down by 23 shots. When all three afternoon teams play on the same day we will have problems which can only be solved with more members at the club.
