“B” team resources stretched to limit, as they go down at Woodland.
Stan Ridgway’s “B” team, fielding a mixture of “B” and “C” team players because of holidays etc, lost by 34 shots, against the impressive Woodland Hotel team, yesterday. After a surprise reverse at home last week, the “B” team performed admirably in defeat with Derek Thomas 21-04 and Don Ibbotson 21-06 performing brilliantly on the away green. With only one other winner though, Tony Ryding 21-19, the Vics were always chasing the match and eventually succumbed by 34 shots.
